Our History

The Labor Education & Community Services Agency, Inc. (LECSA) is a non-profit corporation, supported in part by the United Way of Long Island, LECSA was established in 1973 to develop and sponsor comprehensive programs to meet the social, health and educational needs of all working people on Long Island without regard to their union affiliation, and without expense to the individuals.

A Proud Labor Partner

Our roots in the labor movement run deep. Unions have always championed health, equity, and dignity for working people, and we are proud to carry that mission forward. We collaborate with unions to connect members and their families to vital support systems and promote the powerful role of organized labor in building healthy communities
